For the English Debate next week, these will be the guidelines which we will abide by during the debates:

1)Role of speakers-All speakers will have 7 minutes

a)Government

-First speaker

In charge of Introducing members

Define Topic

State stand

Explain 1 point

-Second Speaker

Rebut 1st opposition speaker

Explain 2 main points

Reaffirm stand

-Third Speaker

Rebut 1st, 2nd opposition speaker

Conclude with a single point

Reaffirm Stand

b)Oppostion

-First speaker

Introduce members

Rebut definition of government(if applicable) and suggest own definition

Rebut first speaker of government

State stand

Present 1 point

-Second speaker

Rebut second speaker of government

Present 2 main points 

Reaffirm stand

-Third Speaker

Rebut 1st,2nd, 3rd government speaker

summarise team argument and reaffirm stand

DO NOT PRESENT ANY POINTS

2)POI rules

-POI will be allowed but from the 2nd to 6th minute ONLY

-The person to whom the POI is directed has the right to deny POI

-POIers must be civilized and respectful without being impetuous due to emotional factors
